As the Apprenticeship Ambassador for Lincolnshire I do have an urgent request this week which I really need your support with please.
During National Apprenticeship Week, ‘The Big Assembly’
This GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title attempt aims to set the record for the largest online careers advice seminar EVER
Schools, young people, parents, careers advisors and employers from across the nation are invited at 08.45, on 7 March 2017 during National Apprenticeship Week to take part in ‘The Big Assembly’ a live video stream to thousands across the UK wanting to find out more about apprenticeships and career options post 16.
As you can imagine to ensure we get enough interest in the event and we need over 5,000 registrations, so as much marketing and media coverage and schools involvement this week is needed. We need people talking, tweeting and as much social media activity such as face book. We are looking for a mass involvement next week on the 7th March at 08.45 to achieve this GUINNESS WORLD RECORD.
Please find attached the social media guide, press release and information for The Big Assembly. Can I encourage you to promote / push and use the social media content within your own networks to make the event as widely known as possible. I have highlighted below how to register and the differing media options we have and could use.
How to Register
Registration is via www.bigassembly.org
You can find us on twitter @bigassembly and use #bigassembly
I have also attached a couple of ‘sneak preview’ videos which will be used on the day in the Big Assembly live video stream:
This is a short 15 second clip with Pharmacy Trainee Emily Wilby from Boots, she says what she loves and gives advice about what to do if you're interested in apprenticeships.

Many thanks to Adam Barnes at Babington for hosting the webinar and for kindly inviting members of both the Greater Lincolnshire and the D2N2 Public Service Compacts to attend.
This event was held at the East Midlands Conference Centre on 31/3/16. It was a chance for all Public Sector Departments and Local Authorities to find out about The Apprenticeship Levy and Public Sector Targets and begin to engage / plan for how their organisations can get the most value for money and return on investment.
I attended on behalf of the two East Midlands Public Service Compacts. I know many of you were there on the day, but for those who weren’t, the presentations are now in the 'Resources' section of this website. There was also a long list of unanswered questions from the floor, which SFA / BIS hope to answer by the end of June.
The D2N2 event on 29th June will be on the subject of ‘The Changing Face of Apprenticeships’ and I am hoping by then we will have some more answers. Check out the 'Next Event' section for more information. We are also planning a webinar to follow up on the event which Adam Barnes at Babington Group has kindly agreed to host. More details of this in the 'Next Event' section.
